Another very important purpose for “A Night to Honor Israel” is to raise money to support humanitarian missions in the land of Israel. It is not enough to say we support Israel if we do not also stand by her with monetary aid which is so desperately needed.

The Church owes a great debt of love to the nation of Israel and the Jewish people. It was from her seed that our Jewish Messiah was born. It was a remnant of Jews who believed in Him and who formed the first church… and also gave their lives for the faith. It was these Jewish believers who began discipling the nations. We thank God for their work for the Gospel on which we now stand.

As you may know, modern day Israel came into being just a little over 60 years ago in 1948 after the Nazi holocaust. Never in history has a nation of people been so persecuted, forced from their land, dispersed to the four corners of the earth and united again 2000 years later in their original homeland, speaking their own language. The fact that Israel exists today is a miracle and a demonstration of God’s hand upon this nation. So on this night, we lend support to Israel in words, but also in deed—by accepting donations to support our brothers in their time of need.
